Jann Scott Live
Jann Scott Live is Boulder's ONLY Live Call-in Talk TV show. This is a front-page news driven talk show covers local, national and international stories with guest appearances. It is Boulder's version of the news with commentary, opinion, callers, occasional bands and celebrities thrown into the mix.
Jann Scott Live has been compared to David Letterman and Comedy Central's "Daily Show", but in a time of crisis such as during Boulder forest fires, 9-11 or CU riots, Jann becomes Boulder's trusted anchor for live news coverage and emergency information. On 9/11 Jann and crew recorded the city Emergency Preparedness Meeting as well as police and community response and had it all on the air by two in the afternoon which was two weeks ahead of the city's official media outlet channel 8. Public TV CATV 54 repeated the two-hour programming for 24 hours.
Asides from emergencies Jann Scott Live is a staple of Boulder's hot button issues, parodying and lampooning everything held sacred in Boulder from the JonBenet Ramsey murder case to the Green Party's Ralph Nader and topics such as: prairie dogs, $5.2 million dollar homeless shelter, hippies, sororities, frat boys, communists, the rich, radical environmentalists, the humorless, as well as a host of serious topics like death and cats.
